“Very clean, with excellent comfortable beds and very quiet. If you are 2 couples you probably won’t hear an early riser at all. Great view on the balcony especially for sun sets. Balcony is cool in the morning and after the sun sets. We had zero mosquitoes but that may be the time of year. AC was very effective. It’s important to note that if you have trouble with walking you absolutely need a car. It’s a bit of a hike up. We are 55 and 62 and it was at our limit for what we are capable of in the hot sun. Also Vieux Fort does not cater to tourists and has gone through a lot of hardship economically in the last few years. Our cab driver was very clear that we should not be out on foot after dark in Vieux Fort. I personally did not feel unsafe during the day but I listen to locals when they tell me where not to go.”
