What is EscapeStays?
EscapeStays is the direct booking site for Luxury Lodging vacation rentals. You book with the property manager rather than through an online travel agency, and booking direct saves up to 15% on service fees.
How do I get the price for my stay?
Prices depend on your dates. Search with your check-in and check-out dates, or open a property page with your dates set, and the total shown includes cleaning, fees and taxes. A nightly rate on its own excludes those and is not the price of a stay.
When do I pay?
If check-in is more than 60 days away, you pay 50% when you book and the balance is charged automatically 60 days before check-in. For stays that start sooner, the stay is paid in full when you book.
What is the difference between the refundable and non-refundable rates?
Where dates allow, you can choose between a non-refundable rate and a refundable rate that costs 8% more on the nightly subtotal. The refundable rate can be cancelled until 23:59 UTC 30 days before check-in, and everything you paid is refunded except the 3.5% card processing fee; after that point it is non-refundable. The non-refundable rate cannot be cancelled for a refund once confirmed, and stays that start within 30 days are offered at that rate only.
Do I need to verify my identity?
First-time guests complete a quick ID and selfie check through Stripe within 24 hours of booking, or within 2 hours if arriving within 2 days. If the check is not completed, the booking is cancelled with a full refund.
Can I bring a pet?
Some homes welcome pets. Add the number of pets when you book (from 1 to 4) and the total for the stay includes the pet fee for that many pets. A home's page and the search filters say whether it accepts pets.
Where are the homes, and when do I get the address?
Homes are listed by destination in markets across the United States and beyond, including Tampa Bay and Chicago. Browse Destinations or search by city, dates and number of guests. Before you book, a home's location is shown as neighbourhood and city only; the exact address comes to you with the check-in instructions.
