“We booked this house quickly after our original accommodations fell through. We stayed at the house 6 nights. Originally 5 nights, but was extended the extra night after a request. Trying to be gracious because I'm suspicious this is a new adventure for the owners. We greatly appreciated the size of the house. There were 6 of us, we had a bed each and room to spread out. The bed linens were clean, bathrooms were clean, towels were clean. Really, that's what mattered most to me. The things we did come across was easily remedied by a bit of cleaning, but I felt I shouldn't have had to. I know we left the kitchen better than when we arrived. No access to washer and dryer was an added concern. It would have been greatly helpful for our situation. We were there during a heavy snow and the driveway was cleared for us. The house is dated and in need of a through deep cleaning. We were relieved for a place to land and worked with what we had. Potentially it's going to be a great place!”

The refundable rate costs 8% more on the nightly subtotal and can be cancelled until 23:59 UTC 30 days before check-in, when the 3.5% card processing fee is non-refundable and everything else you paid is refunded in full; after that it is non-refundable. Stays starting within 30 days are offered at the non-refundable rate only. Review the full booking terms before paying.
When do I pay, and is there a security deposit?
If check-in is more than 60 days away, you pay 50% in secure Stripe checkout and the balance is charged automatically to the same card 60 days before check-in; if it is sooner, the full total is due at checkout. Your agreement also authorizes a separate $500 security deposit hold shortly before or during your stay (2 days before check-out, or the day before check-in for a 1-night stay); it is not an immediate charge.
