“So this one's a little tricky, a bit of comparing apples vs. oranges, relative to my typical airbnb bookings. The price was higher than my normal limit, but it was admittedly economical compared with the competion for lodging convenient to downtown Chicago. The layout was an interesting experience--i.e. tiny containers barely big enough for a bed. I hold out hope that they could definitely make it work, i.e. provide the guest with an actual restful night of sleep. Thankfully, some button in the confusingly hi-tech get-up (think it was a vent fan) supplied me with crucial "white noise" to drown out some loud arguing in the wee hours. (Couldn't tell if it was inside the facility or outside on the sidewalk.) But alas, the kicker keeping me from giving a 5-star was that the chamber was too bright with light--coming through the slats from the hallway, mercifully turned off around maybe midnight, but persisting all night from the high tech blue screen that looms over the bed.”

What is the cancellation policy?
Two rates are offered. The non-refundable rate is final: no refund once confirmed. The refundable rate costs 8% more on the nightly subtotal and can be cancelled until 23:59 UTC 30 days before check-in, when the 3.5% card processing fee is non-refundable and everything else you paid is refunded in full; after that it is non-refundable. Stays starting within 30 days are offered at the non-refundable rate only. Review the full booking terms before paying.
When do I pay, and is there a security deposit?
If check-in is more than 60 days away, you pay 50% in secure Stripe checkout and the balance is charged automatically to the same card 60 days before check-in; if it is sooner, the full total is due at checkout. Your agreement also authorizes a separate $500 security deposit hold shortly before or during your stay (2 days before check-out, or the day before check-in for a 1-night stay); it is not an immediate charge. Government-issued ID is required.
