“We absolutely loved our stay! The house is gorgeous and exactly like the pictures. Maybe even better! The house was clean and stocked with almost anything you would need for your stay. Truly a 5 star place. Things to consider: The house is near standing water, there were ALOT of mosquitoes. You cannot sit outside without spray. So bring twice the spray you think you will need and repellant candles. There is a screened in porch and that was amazing to have! We sat outside and enjoyed the space with minimal bites. Just know on decks and downstairs shower area, you’ll need spray! (Mosquitos are allover the peninsula, not just this location, although it was heavier at the house because of the standing water.) The walk to the beach is doable/fine for average people. If you’re hauling a lot of stuff or small children, you would need a wagon or golf-cart. If you have health issues or trouble walking, plan on renting a golf/cart. We would book again in a hear beat. We had a blast!”

Lovely house and beautiful gated community with a more private feeling beach access compared to homes further west. Beach access is also exclusively pedestrian/golf carts which helps limit cars and trucks on the beach. Casey was a great host. We even accidentally left behind personal items that she offered to ship back to us.”

“Casey’s place was absolutely exceptional! The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and stocked with everything you could possibly need—it truly felt like being at home. The location was perfect, just a short walk to a beautiful, clean beach with no trash and very little seaweed. There was plenty of room for our group to relax and spend time together, with multiple outdoor spaces and a fantastic screened-in patio that made evenings comfortable when the bugs came out. The patios on both sides of the house offered great views and places to unwind. The gated community provided extra privacy and security, and there was plenty of parking. Even the trip over was fun—the short ferry ride from Galveston was a highlight, and the kids loved spotting dolphins along the way. Casey was an amazing host. She stayed in touch throughout our stay, making sure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed. There honestly isn’t a single thing we would change.”

When do I pay, and is there a security deposit?
If check-in is more than 60 days away, you pay 50% in secure Stripe checkout and the balance is charged automatically to the same card 60 days before check-in; if it is sooner, the full total is due at checkout. Your agreement also authorizes a separate $500 security deposit hold shortly before or during your stay (2 days before check-out, or the day before check-in for a 1-night stay); it is not an immediate charge.
