“Our family of 7 adults were comfortable in the home. We were mostly gone during the day but we enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings. We also enjoyed playing pool and playing the video games. We all got great sleep in the beds. The house is around 20-30 minutes from the city, but we're from Atlanta so we're used to traveling at least 20 minutes to get places. As with many neighborhoods in Chicago, you park on the street.”

“We had a great stay at this Chicago home! The location was perfect, super central between the airports and downtown, which made getting around easy. The house itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and we felt very safe in the neighborhood throughout. The host was responsive and thoughtful. When street parking was tricky (which it was a few times), they kindly offered us the option to park in the back. We really appreciated that flexibility! We had a lot of fun using the pool table upstairs. The gameroom and gym weren't quite as nice as the listing photos suggested, but we didn't end up needing them much. The beds and bathrooms were spotless, though the mattresses could use replacing for better comfort. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient base for our trip. Thank you for hosting us! Two rates are offered. The non-refundable rate is final: no refund once confirmed. The refundable rate costs 8% more on the nightly subtotal and can be cancelled until 23:59 UTC 30 days before check-in, when the 3.5% card processing fee is non-refundable and everything else you paid is refunded in full; after that it is non-refundable. Stays starting within 30 days are offered at the non-refundable rate only. Review the full booking terms before paying.
When do I pay, and is there a security deposit?
If check-in is more than 60 days away, you pay 50% in secure Stripe checkout and the balance is charged automatically to the same card 60 days before check-in; if it is sooner, the full total is due at checkout. Your agreement also authorizes a separate $500 security deposit hold shortly before or during your stay (2 days before check-out, or the day before check-in for a 1-night stay); it is not an immediate charge. Government-issued ID is required.
